What to Do the Night Before Your Meet

THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MEET:

  • Eat foods that digest easily and won’t still be hanging around in your stomach the next day.
  • Pasta, veggies, fruit, salad
  • Avoid large portions of meat and fatty foods
  • Avoid pizza and large amounts of cheese
  • Hydrate well – anything is fine except soda which has too much sugar, caffeine (which is a diuretic and will dehydrate you), and phosphoric acid
  • Stay home or get in early and get lots of rest
