THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MEET:
- Eat foods that digest easily and won’t still be hanging around in your stomach the next day.
- Pasta, veggies, fruit, salad
- Avoid large portions of meat and fatty foods
- Avoid pizza and large amounts of cheese
- Hydrate well – anything is fine except soda which has too much sugar, caffeine (which is a diuretic and will dehydrate you), and phosphoric acid
- Stay home or get in early and get lots of rest
